Team Leader – Scheduling Reactive Works (Social Housing) – 12mth FTC

The Vacancy

Permanent, F/T 37 hours Mon-Fri (9-5.30 and 5pm finish on Friday with some flexibility)

Here at Paradigm, it is all about our customers, and we are seeking an exceptional Team Leader to inspire, motivate and lead our ‘Reactive Repairs’ tea of Technical Co-ordinators to deliver an excellent experience for all our customers. It’s a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be adaptable and able to make decisions when there are competing priorities.

The Role: People management is key to manage our driven team of 10. Your remit will be to inspire, motivate and support to get the very best from your team.  You will be great at giving (and receiving) feedback as you will conduct regular reviews with your team members.

You will be responsible for the management of the scheduling function, ensuring maximum works efficiency in the booking of repairs jobs in line with Paradigm’s tenant deal and corporate practice. You will coach your team ensuring they manage and reduce works in progress as well as administer an effective scheduling service to our customers. To work collaboratively with front line repairs customer services and promote #drivingimprovement and #workingasone with Paradigm’s front-line technicians to ensure excellence in the delivery of Paradigms repairs service.

It’s fast paced so you will need stamina and resilience with a real focus on quality.

About you: You will need to have/be:

  • Able to lead and manage staff, plan resources, set targets and monitor performance successfully to achieve service objectives
  • Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Comfortable and competent to make effective day to day decisions within established policy
  • Ability to plan and manage (sometimes under pressure) individual and team workloads effectively
  • Flexible, resourceful and open to change Solution focussed; leads by example encouraging a positive and practical approach to problems encouraging a positive and practical approach to problems from your team
  • High level of communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Providing a fair and consistent delivery of positive management behaviours for the benefit of customers, the business and team objectives.

Where could this role take you?

Whilst this is not currently a permanent role, in a business our size and with the transformation we are going through, there is a possibility that this could either be extended, made permanent or other opportunities may arise; many of our talented colleagues started at Paradigm as temporary/interim and have gone on to forge successful careers with us. However, if something longer term doesn’t materialise, you will still gain valuable experience which will add to your employability in this and similar fields.
