SENIOR UX STRATEGIST

We are looking for a Senior UX Strategist to join our Digital Consulting team. You will combine both UX strategy and the implementation of solution architecture to enable the successful acquisition and implementation of customer solutions. We anticipate that you will thrive in working closely with the Client Facing team to lead them and clients alike through a truly human-centric approach when designing enterprise applications. If you can incorporate strategic ‘Design Thinking’ and UX Design into the above, we would be delighted to hear from you.

What will happen when I join? 

You will be personally welcomed by our department heads and your line manager, and given plenty of chance to ask questions. You will then be onboarded into your team and work closely with team members to ensure you have the best experience possible 

What will be my day-to-day responsibilities?

  • Working with our clients to understand and support the creation of project vision, business context, value propositions, goals, objectives, and transformation and development strategies.
  • Write and administer User Research and Stakeholder Interviews
  • Run Workshops and Discovery Sessions
  • Define user personas including, needs, pains, gain creators and functional requirements
  • Map user-journeys
  • Design new models of behaviour to meet user needs and web software requirements
  • Communicate designs to client stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the development team to evolve and refine our design system, ensuring visual cohesion and engineering efficiency across all user touchpoints
  • Recommend workarounds, value additions, and remove solution bottlenecks for the stakeholders.
  • Design low and high-fidelity wireframes to support the software design process
  • Prototype and model requirements
  • Work within agile development teams to inform Epics, User-stories, and Development Sprints.
  • Understand insights from data reports and analytics to further inform User Experience Design.
  • Contribute to or write client reports, demonstrating findings, recommendations, conclusions and next steps.
  • Work with Unipro’s Digital Consultant to support new business pitches, proposals and RFQ responses
  • Deliver client presentations & show and tell sessions

What skills and experience do I need?

If you can fulfil most of the following attributes, skills and experience shown below, this could well be the job for you:

  • Ideally 5 years commercial experience as a UX Designer.

  • The ability to elicit and understand user needs

  • Experienced in elements of Service Design

  • An expert in User Experience Design
  • Visualisation and prototyping skills
  • Skilled in Design Research and Understanding key design insights
  • Experienced in Agile Development processes
  • Good command over spoken and written communication
  • Experience with user research such as surveys, interviews, and usability testing
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Facilitation and observational skills
  • Process modelling skills
  • Happy to present to senior stakeholders
  • A strong command of contemporary design tools including Sketch and Invision
  • Background in designing for mobile-first platforms
  • A strong understanding of design patterns
  • A solid foundation in layout and design
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Work closely with the strategy team to identify research questions
  • Help define and refine user personas, actors and stories. 
  • Consider existing applications and evaluating their UX effectiveness
  • Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI specifications
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of working in design programs like Sketch, Adobe XD or Figma.
  • A Self-starter with the ability to work alone, as part of a multi-discipline team or directly with clients

Here’s what you can expect: 

  • Introductory phone call with a member of the talent acquisition team. Typically, 20 minutes or so, this is an opportunity for you to get to know Unipro, and there will be plenty of time to ask any questions 
  • This will be followed by a video chat with our Digital Consultant to discuss the more in-depth aspects of the role and how it fits into the organisation (60 minutes) 
  • Finally, we will arrange a second video call with the Digital Consultant and Managing Director (60 minutes) 

Once a candidate has successfully completed each stage of the interview process, the team gathers to discuss each stage carefully. Once there is agreement, an offer will then be made. We will do our best to provide as much verbal feedback as possible. 

Our goal is to have candidates complete the interview process within one week. However, we can accelerate or decelerate as needed based on a candidate’s preference and availability.
