This is an 12-month fixed term contract, with possibility of extension and an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a major transformation programme implementing commercial off the shelf software to replace a legacy system. We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Test Analyst who will work on all aspects of testing across the programme, analysing, developing and executing test cases to ensure the configuration of the selected solutions meet business and technical requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are absolutely essential as this role will be closely liaising with Business Analysts, SME’s, technical experts and suppliers to analyse requirements, acceptance criteria and data dependencies, then developing and executing test scripts.
Also within remit will be the ownership of a quality defect management process, running triage, regularly reporting on test progress and defects, and assisting with root cause analysis to the Test Manager and wider team. There will also be a requirement to assist in the validation of a complex data migration exercise which will require data analysis skills and a degree of SQL.
The role holder must be a self-starter who can clearly demonstrate initiative and collaborative working. Experience of a broad range of testing phases is essential, including analysis and creation of test artefacts for functional, non-functional, integration, user acceptance, data migration, model office and cutover. Attendance at stand-ups will be required and the ability to communicate testing concerns and potential remedial actions effectively and clearly is essential. There may also be opportunities to explore test automation initiatives.
The expectation is that the assignment will initially be fulfilled remotely, although there will be a requirement to attend our offices near High Wycombe, Bucks on a weekly basis.
