SENIOR ICT TECHNICIAN

Salary: NJC points 18 to 20 (£27,344 to £28,371) pa, which may be negotiable for an outstanding candidate

Set in the village of Duffield, in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire. We are centred on the western bank of the River Derwent at the mouth of the River Ecclesbourne. Duffield is within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Area and its elevated surroundings are the southern foothills of the Pennines.

We are looking for an ambitious, proactive and experienced ICT technician who is looking for the next step in their career. You will have excellent communication skills, relevant experience and/or qualifications, be self-motivated and driven, keep up to date with the latest advances in technology and lead by example with high professional standards and expectations.

We invest heavily in using ICT to improve educational outcomes and for effective and efficient management of school processes. Our ICT team are an integral part of the school, and this role is fundamental to the progress and development of the infrastructure.

The position is for 37 hours per week, for 52 weeks per year. Salary NJC points 18 to 20 (£27,344 to £28,371) per annum, which may be negotiable for an outstanding candidate. We offer 35 days paid holiday per year (including Bank Holidays and four concessionary days) rising to 38 after five years and immediate membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme. Continuity of service will be recognised for local government employees.
