Reporting to the Head of Delivery working within the Delivery Team of 5 people, you will be the Senior, taking responsibility and accountability for an allocated portfolio of development projects ensuring they are: delivered on time, have appropriate commercial and contractual controls in place, are within budget and are of the required quality.

You will manage the appointed developers and professional consultants from handover of responsibility from New Business/Planning through to operational use. With awareness and up-to-date knowledge of construction market trends and issues, you will communicate these in an engaging manner to further increase knowledge within the team and wider Development Directorate. You will lead on compliance with all health & safety regulations, quality and other regulatory / environmental standards, with the confidence and competence to challenge and ensure our standards are adhered to. Ensuring that CDM and Principal Designer obligations are completed, supporting on-going improvements in processes and procedures. 

You will have a structured approach to project management (ideally with a recognised qualification) with a contractual and commercial approach to schemes, you will have completed a H&S qualification such as IOSH/NBOSH.

As a proven collaborator you will demonstrate a strong understanding as to how cross-organisation alignment is a key factor to achieving business goals; mentoring the Development Managers to manage their schemes successfully and sharing best practice. Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence others and communicate complex technical topics together with a high standard of literacy and numeracy. Strong computer literacy, including development-specific packages e.g. ProVal / Sequel (or similar)

This role will involve travel; therefore a full UK driving license is essential. Although working remotely currently, the role is primarily based at our offices near High Wycombe/Beaconsfield,  Buckinghamshire, (3 mins drive from junction 3 of the M40), the role is full time, but we are open to flexible working flexible for the right candidate.
