As we continue to expand our Outside Broadcast and Remote Operations, EMG UK is actively recruiting within our Rigging Department and are looking to offer keen and driven individuals the opportunity to train and develop as a Rigger within bespoke Apprenticeship programme.

The Apprenticeship Programme

During the Apprenticeship, the successful applicants will learn all about base Operations and the principals of cables and Rigging with an aim of having a successful career as a Rigger-Driver within an Outdoor Broadcasting Industry. EMG will provide a structured training programme consisting of both driving and on the job training. We will provide all equipment (harnesses and PPE), as well as an IPAF (3a&3b) qualification and First Aid training. The successful candidate will complete the apprenticeship with a full C+E License.

Job description

The role of the Apprentice Rigger/HGV Driver is based initially based at our premises in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, however will ultimately be site based anywhere in the UK.

Key tasks / responsibilities

The nature of this role is varied and often incorporates receiving instructions at short notice, below is a list of typical but not restricted to duties.

• Loading and unloading trucks according to load/unload list
• Keeping trucks clean, keeping warehouse clean and tidy
• Testing cables (training will be given)
• Repairing cables (training will be given)
• Receiving equipment at goods in
• Rigging Training
• Driving Training

YOU MUST HAVE UK DRIVERS LICENSE AS YOU WILL BE ASKED TO DRIVE COMPANY VEHICLES. ALL APPLICANTS MUST COMPLY WITH C+E DRIVING REGULATIONS AND BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE OR ABOVE.
