This is a role for a full time residential childcare worker to work within a 6 bedded residential children's home.
You will need to be flexible around your working hours. You will need to be emotionally and physically fit to work with emotionally challenging young people.
You will be able establish and maintain relationships with service users to challenge their existing patterns of behaviour. In addition you will work proactively with appropriate stakeholders to assess the individual’s needs and ensure positive outcomes.
Willow Vue currently has an Ofsted rating of 'good'. The team works proactively in maintaining a high level of care for their young people. The team are consistent in their approach whilst working together. We have high aspirations for the young people who live in the home.
This post requires you to hold a Diploma Level 3 in working with Children and Young People in Residential Care or its equivalent. Or be willing and able to undertake the Diploma Level 3 in working with Children and young people within 6 months of being appointed.
The post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Information provided by you or the DBS will be dealt with in a confidential manner and in accordance with the DBS Code of Practice which can be viewed here.
