We are nearing completion of a new 6 bedded care home for people living with a physical disability in the Harrow/Wembley area. The aim of the home is to provide high standards of care in a boutique care home environment.  The home is situated in a residential area with good transport links and shops a short distance away.

The Role:

We are seeking a Registered Manager who is passionate about individualised care in a home from home environment. The role provides an opportunity to develop a new service and staff team. Due to the size and type of home, there will be a real opportunity to provide high quality care whilst ensuring the residents are genuinely part of the local community. Part of your working week will be clinically based delivering and monitoring standards of care.  It is an opportunity to showcase your skills and develop your career.

About You:

To join the team at Gencare as the Registered Manager, you will need to have achieved your level 5 in Leadership and Management (Healthcare) or have an equivalent qualification.  You will need to have previous experience of caring for people with physical disabilities who may also have other care and support needs. You will need excellent communication skills and flexibility coupled with a can-do approach. You will be able to demonstrate leadership and supervision skills for the care team, develop care plans and liaise with external healthcare professionals. You will need to ensure that the residents in our care always receive the highest standards of care and support. Maintaining the highest standards of infection control is essential for this role. You will be encouraging a workplace culture of respect and dignity and provide supervision to a newly established team of support workers.

We provide PPE to help you to stay safe whilst delivering care. Initially this will be on a part time basis moving to full time as the project progresses.

All of our employees are required to complete an Enhanced DBS and provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom. We take the health and safety of residents and employees seriously and you should be prepared to demonstrate that you have received appropriate vaccinations unless there is a medical reason that you cannot.
