REPORTING TO                 -              Recruitment and Vetting Manager

HOURS OF WORK            -              40 Hours (Mon-Fri)          

RATE OF PAY                   -              TBC

Working within a small Recruitment and Vetting team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of critical background checks for job applicants and employees.   With excellent attention to detail, you’ll ensure all checks are carried out to agreed timescales, in a confidential manner and in line with legislation, policies and procedures.  You will use an on-line vetting system to process applicant details, verify education, training and employment histories, and request other checks including criminal record and credit checks.  

Confident and professional communication skills are essential as you will be liaising constantly with applicants, managers, colleagues, external organisations, and government agencies.  

Once vetting has been completed to the required standard, you will be responsible for issuing offer letters and contracts to successful candidates.  You will also work closely with recruiting managers to ensure a timely, efficient, and compliant on-boarding process.

Strong administration, customer service and organisational skills are essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:

•           Ability to analyse personal and confidential documentation to critical, stringent standards

•           Flexible team-working skills and initiative

•           A high level of computer literacy – particularly MS Office applications and database                                            Systems

•           The ability to analyse data and create reports

•           Excellent written and spoken communication skills

•           Experience in a recruitment or vetting administration role - desirable

•           Understanding or experience of the security industry – useful

•           Knowledge of Home Office legislation regarding right to work – useful
