Position Title: Quantity Surveyor Level 3

Location: Town Hall Extension, Albert Square Manchester M2 5DB - Blended/Hybrid Working

Salary Range: Grade 9 £42,503 to £46,549 (Bar at £45,495) per annum

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Qualification: Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (or other relevant subject) and have a suitable and demonstrable experience in a similar position within a Highways / Transport / Engineering environment

The Highways Service are recruiting for an experienced candidate who has relevant experience to commercially manage highway maintenance contracts across a range of specialist areas, patching, drainage, structures, street lighting and other core services.

This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic Service within the Council delivering highway maintenance programmes on behalf of the city to contribute to the ongoing growth, delivery, and development of Manchester.

A key aim is to ensure overarching commercial responsibility within the service areas to lead, manage and be accountable for the commercial elements of allocated maintenance projects, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery to shape the city in line with the Greater Manchester Transport Strategy 2040.

The role holder will support internal and external stakeholders as we look to form effective partnerships for the coming years.
