We have always prided ourselves on supporting our business with an efficient IT service to 330 employees across four sites and in the last few months, our company has gone through several exciting changes.  This has resulted in our IT function now reporting to the Group IT function in Carlisle and approval to add an additional IT genius to take on the challenge of first and second line IT queries. 

Supporting and reporting to our IT Manager, on a day-to-day basis you will be troubleshooting issues, solving hardware and software problems, and dealing with user requests.  You will have a tenacity to resolve problems quickly to ensure minimum disruption to the operations, making your colleagues’ working life a dream.  On top of these everyday activities, there are plenty of projects for you to get involved in to support the wider Group IT function and importantly, to develop your skills and experience in preparation for future progression.

Our ideal candidate will have a least 2 years minimum experience within an IT department. In a perfect world, you will have a good understanding of networks (especially Cisco), Microsoft products including Office 365 and operating systems.  Any familiarity with Windows servers, including Active Directory and Backup Systems would be beneficial but this is not essential.

A love of SAP would be desirable but a love/hate relationship would be perfectly acceptable to us!

The role is based at our Head Office in Stoke on Trent, normally working 8am-4:30pm Monday to Friday, so it is important you live within an hour of Stoke.  There will be some travel with this role, so a driving licence is essential.   We are a very family friendly organisation and appreciate working and having a family comes in hand in hand, as such we welcome flexible working and are open to discussing requirements during the recruitment process.
