An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Support Engineer within the Technology and Information Services Team. This is a full-time role on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will provide IT support and guidance to support the Groups digital journey and ensuring a robust provision of IT services are available to our customers, staff and external stakeholders. Your role will include first line and second support activities and will also provide input for the continuous improvement of the end user experience.

IT security and support for implementing the IT policies and procedures will be a key part of the role as well as establishing an awareness of data protection and information flow best practice.

Essential:

  • Experience of troubleshooting, configuring and supporting the Windows Server 2012 – 2022 and Windows 10 operating systems.
  • Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot application software.
  • Ability to setup, configure and troubleshoot computer related hardware.
  • Ability to setup, configure and troubleshoot android and iOS mobile devices.
  • Active directory management.
  • Microsoft Exchange.
  • Office 365.
  • MDM software.
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • Email and web filtering products.
  • VMware/Hyper-V virtualisation technologies.
  • Networking and CCTV.
  • Endpoint protection software.
  • IP and Analog Telephony.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record keeping.
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good communication skills both oral and written.
  • Good knowledge of TCP / IP networks.
  • Level 3 Infrastructure Support qualification/equivalent professional qualification or higher.

Desirable:

  • Electronic document and records management (Wisdom).
  • Orchard housing management system.
  • Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience of using service desk systems.
  • Experience of Audio / Visual equipment.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation.
  • Comptia A+/N+.
  • Relevant Microsoft Certifications.

You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to a suitable vehicle with business use insurance cover.

You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check.
