Homeshare Coordinator

£21,848 per annum pro-rata

Up to Full Time (37 hours per week). Although we prefer 4 to 5 days, we are willing to consider any requests for flexibility

So what is Homeshare?

Homeshare is an exciting opportunity for older people helping them to remain independent in their own home and improve their social connections. Homeshare Gloucestershire, established in 2019, is becoming increasingly popular. We match an older person, who has a spare bedroom, with someone, looking to offer companionship in exchange for affordable accommodation. These matches bring positive benefits for both Homeshare parties. We are looking to develop Homeshare across the county and provide even more opportunities for older people.

As our new Homeshare Coordinator, you will work closely with the Homeshare Manager. You will have opportunities to learn and share best practice with other Homeshare schemes in the UK. You will work with local stakeholders to find and support older people, who want to share accommodation.

This is an exciting opportunity and evidence shows Homeshare is having an enormous impact on the lives of older people. If you are passionate about helping older people and supporting them to live the life, they want to lead - we would love to hear from you!

You will be;

  • An enthusiastic and positive person

  • Well organised and have strong administration skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
  • A good listener, with great inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Committed to thinking differently about how our society responds to ageing
  • Eager to promote Homeshare Gloucestershire to all relevant sections of the Gloucestershire community
