General Manager - Chichester

We are looking for a General Manager with a proven track record to organize the activities within a busy and vibrant café with indoor and outdoor seating which is a 7 day operation working 5 over 7.  Working with an experienced team you will manage the day to day running of both front of house and kitchen to ensure the operation runs smoothly and be the day to day lead with our client.

General Manager Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing a team of chefs and FOH personnel
  • The smooth running of events for the client to include breakfast, working lunches, sit down dinners and canapes
  • Client liaison
  • Budget and analytical reporting
  • Stock control
  • To manage staff on a daily basis but also to include the recruitment/selection, induction, appraisal and training of all personnel within the venue
  • To ensure that all Health & Safety, Environmental, HR and other Company Policies are being followed and strictly adhered to


  • Proven experience as a General Manager within a retail outlet
  • Exceptional proven ability of management skills
  • Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and kitchen processes
  • Good understanding of back of house computer systems
  • Food Safety Level 3
  • Allergen and Calorie knowledge
