Friends Fighting Cancer was originally formed in 2008, known then as Football for Cancer and was a single tournament, over the last 14 years we have grown and developed into the Charity that we are today, one that has raised over One Million pounds for families and who have been affected by cancer.
“Support through sport” is how we as a charity have been able to raise money for the families and charities, we have worked with over the last 14 years, and as we now enter then next stage of our evolution as a charity, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and ambitious charity fundraiser to join the team.
The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen due to the growth of the charity for an individual who has experience of submitting and securing corporate giving/sponsorship for charities.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fundraising
- To identify companies and submit applications for corporate giving/sponsorship.
- To account manage companies who partner with FFC
- Where appropriate, represent FFC at sporting events and networking events.
Essential:
- Experience working within a charity and solid understanding of the corporate sponsorship process.
- Positive attitude and professional approach when representing the charity.
- Full UK Licence.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Essential:
- Excellent written skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to liaise with people at all levels, on the telephone, face to face and in writing.
- Proven ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
- Proven ability to prioritise work.
- Good attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Good networking and relationship building ability.
Ideally you will have experience working as a Corporate Giving Manager, however if you have worked as a Fundraising Manager, Corporate Fundraiser, Individual Giving Manager or Giving Manager and feel that you have the right skills and experience for the position then we are very interested in speaking with you.
