Manchester City Council’s Parks, Leisure, Events and Youth service is seeking a Commercial and Sponsorship Officer to support our ambitious income generation and partnerships strategy.  

We are seeking a commercially minded person with demonstrable experience of developing new business opportunities and relationships, the ability to generate sponsorship and other income streams, as well as knowledge of contracts and procurement processes to maximise the commercial value of our service. 

This role will seek out and drive forward partnerships and negotiate sponsorship agreements with a range of stakeholders for our diverse programme of city-wide events, such as our flagship Manchester Day event, and build relationships that generate social value as well as income for the city. 

This role will collaborate with contract managers and operators to manage and develop contracts and oversee procurement processes, collating and analysing data to inform decision making and ensure we deliver best value and best practice across the service.
